Blood work

Yesterday morning I called Dr. H(surgeon) at Nemours to let him know what happened over the holiday. Before he scheduled an appt. he wanted Bray's pediatrician to check him out. So I made an appt. with her at 2 pm. She said she didn't think the lymph nodes in Bray's neck were caused from infection in his CI, even though Dr. H did think so. Told me to keep an eye on them and if they started getting larger to get him right in. It's going to take weeks for them to go down. While in there she seen where we'd seen Dr. M for Concerta. Wanted know how that was going. Told her how he reacted. She was concerned b/c while in there Bray started doing the vocal tics he used to do. Told her he's been doing it for about a month and a half. They seem to come and go....his whole behavior issues come and go. Told her about something called PANDAS caused by strep that my Aunt told me about a few days ago. Bray has 5 of the 7 symptoms and 3 of the major diagnostic criteria. If you want to know more about it google or yahoo search PANDAS. We then got to talking about how he gets sick very often. She decided to run blood test and a throat culture. She talked about sending us to an autoimmune disease doctor, but wants to get blood work back first. So we were sent to the hospital to the lab to get all these test done. They drew 6 viles of blood from him to test for calcium, magnesium, iron, ferritin, gluten sensitivity, zinc, ASO titters, and some sort of immunity test IgG, IgM, IgA, and IgE, along with a throat culture. The lady at the hospital said some of the test would be back today and others would take a few days. The doc more than likely won't call me until all the stuff comes in. We have an appt. for evaluations with his CI audiologist this Friday and will prob. be seeing Dr. H.
