Doctor in New Jersey(12-21-09)

Two weeks later I finally got my call back from the office manager at Dr. Nicolaides. I got a lot of heartbreaking news. The phone consult that was going to be done to help us treat him, turned in to be a consult that would cost $95 and only tell us if it would best benefit us to travel to New Jersey to have an examination done on Bray. Then to find out she doesn't accept any insurance and we'll have to pay $1200 for the visit out of pocket. That doesn't even include air fair, rental car, hotel, food, and ect. It would take us 13 hours to drive there if we don't fly. She wants us to stay for 2 days so she can evaluate him really good since we live so far away. It's a lot of money that we just don't have. We're currently trying to find ways to make some cut backs in our finances to save the money to take Bray. One way or another we will get him there. I know in my heart she's the right doctor for him.

Bray continues to show more and more old behaviors that we thought were long gone. He's waking at all times in the night. Eating in the middle of the night. Waking up and staying up at 5 am. Refuses to wear a jacket as cold as it's been here. Screaming at everyone anytime you speak to him. Being very aggressive. He's been running around the house like his tail is on fire. No form of punishment has helped. At least I've been able to get a break from it all every now and then. I'll be glad when Timmy gets back on day shift!

I did decide to brave the trip to see my family in Douglas for Christmas. The trip over was unbearable. Once we got there he got ok. I just knew he would start his crazy actions and freak out the family. I'm proud to say that he reacted with the kids in a normal manner compaired to what we've been seeing between him and Kenzee here at home. It was nice to see family and enjoy Christmas with them. On the way home the kids fell asleep and I got a peaceful ride back.

Keep our family in your prayers! Thanks!
